It's with heavy hearts that Nicky and Joe have made the difficult decision to close The Kings Head, the friendliest pub in France Lynch, for the foreseeable future. This decision has been made purely because the level of business over recent months has become unsustainable.
Wed like to thank our hardworking team, who have supported us and served our customers with dedication and care. It's been a real joy to work alongside local young people, to help them learn and, often, to learn from them too. We couldn't have done it without you.
We also want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported the pub since we took it on. We know that for many of you, The Kings Head has been a special place for years, full of memories and friendships and we feel exactly the same way. It's been an honour and a privilege to be part of its story. Thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts.
There are a couple of people we must mention by name. Andy Bainbridge has been an incredible support, not just to us but to the whole village. organising open mic nights and some truly memorable music events. We are also hugely grateful to all the talented and fantastic people who came along and entertained us at all the music events along with Andy and Tripwire.
Emily Chappell, our brilliant quiz master, has brought energy. humour, and entertainment to every quiz night. A huge thank you to you both!
If were able to come up with a new plan for the pub's future under our ownership. well let you know as soon as possible. In the meantime. The Kings Head will remain on the market for sale, and we hope that new owners will come forward soon to give it the next chapter it deserves.
With heartfelt thanks,
Nicky & Joe
